The best adventure we had this summer was taking a trip to the waterpark! It was so much fun going around the lazy river, sliding down all the slides, and playing in the water park! On the way home, we tried a new restaurant. The food tasted soooo good after a fun filled day at the water park. We all had a memorable day that we won't soon forget.
It is very important to stop and smell the roses once in a while. Take the time to spend some fun time with your family. You will be very glad that you did.
Have your kids tell you about their favorite summer adventure (or draw a picture of it) and ask them what they might like to do next year. You could also tell them about a special summer memory you had as a kid. Encourage your kids to talk to you so that you will have good communication throughtout your lives. Be open to hearing what they have to say, even if it's made up!
I hope you all had a great summer with your families. You can write to me and tell me all about it! I'd love to hear your stories. Who knows, maybe you can even post it here...
Now it's back to school time. We are all trying to get back on schedules and get our work done on time. However, life does tend to run smoother when there's a schedule. I guess it's the transition that is sometimes difficult. The changing of the seasons...
It is likely that your kids are already starting to bring home artwork. Pick out a container to store it in and keep it organized for the year. Perhaps pare down the collection each week by asking your child to choose the pieces they truly wish to keep and toss the rest. When the year is over, you will have the perfect amount of art for creating your The Picasso Kid photo art book for giving as holiday gifts!
Talk to you soon,
Gabrielle
